Designing
and manufacturing magnetic components for
demanding applications
Polyphase
has been designing and manufacturing magnetic
components for defense, aerospace, industrial and
commercial use since 1947, in quantities of one
piece to tens of thousands. Some
of these, such as filters and inductors for
commercial applications, are relatively simple.
Others, such as our 18 winding, 57-lead 12
–pulse power transformer used aboard a modern
strategic bomber, and our 3-phase, 7 KHz, 200 KVA
inverter transformer used aboard a Virginia-class
submarine, rank among the most sophisticated ever
made.
And some of our miniature models used in
microwave generation tip the scales at a mere 35
micro grams.
